How it Works

Though we are internet based, we can receive your dictation through the telephone on a toll-free number that we provide or we can receive it through the download of hand held electronic recording devices or a combination of both based on the individual choice and convenience of your caregiver staff.  Your transcribed reports are returned electronically (through the internet) to your location allowing you the control of storing, printing and editing within the framework of your workflow environment.

Our relationship with MedQuist provides our clients with access to the MedQuist DocQment Enterprise Platform (DEP) for the management of their health information medical transcription needs.  DEP is a very powerful internet based product that has been proven to streamline the document workflow management process.  This also provides access to MedQuist technical support and around-the-clock system monitoring to minimize problems and maximize production.

We are responsive to our clients’ individual turn-around time needs. Our staff will work closely with you to develop your report templates, including the building of your individual letterhead if you choose. All areas of our relationship with our clients meet Federal HIPAA Standards including software and Shumaker Transcription Service Policies and Procedures.
