HIPAA

Shumaker Transcription Service is committed to the patient’s right to confidentiality, privacy and security of protected health information. STS complies with HIPAA regulations and uses appropriate safeguards to protect the confidentiality of patient information. STS firmly abides by the Code of Ethics established by ADHI and by the Confidentiality Statements provided by individual facilities.  STS provides all employees with continuing education regarding these matters.  All employees and subcontractors review, approve and sign the Confidentiality Statement.  This is performed on a yearly basis or as needed.
